Prakash a keen strategist was the originator and producer of the internationally acclaimed marketing campaign ?MandelaStory, endorsed by the Nelson Mandela Center of Memory and has won no fewer than 14 International and local awards including MMA Smarties & Davey, Communicator Excellence Award in New York and locally 5 awards Loreries, Bookmarks and AfricaCom for best marketing campaign.
Prior to heading up Prezence Digital, Patel set up a full service specialist digital agency (Mesh Interactive - now merged with Hello Computer) for DraftFCB SA as Chief Digital Officer/MD. In less than 18 months, under his leadership the agency received a number of industry accolades including Loeries, Bookmarks, Apex, Assegais, Creative Circle, and AdReview newcomer agency of year awards.
Patel's Internationally experience includes being amongst one of the first global agencies that provided true integrated marketing solutions back in 2001, through to setting up his own company back in late 90's (which became part of JWT / rmg:connect).
Before leaving London for SA, Patel, was Managing Partner of a UK's top 5 independent digital agency, for 3 years, where he set up and successfully delivered the strategic global digital landscape for Bentley Motors, Playstation, Jaguar and Bowers & Wilkins to mention a few. Prior to that has worked for multinational agencies including JWT, rmg:connect, FCBi and TBWA
Since being in SA, Patel has become a regular keynote speaker at various conferences on the power and use of Digital, and also a regular contributor as a thought leader to various journals throughout Africa, through to being nominated as the Digital Maverick at the 2012 Bookmarks awards and active judge for the International Webby Awards and locally for the Bookmarks.
