Hi, I'm Lindsay, a Johannesburg-based freelance copywriter. I've spent the better part of the past 20 years writing everything from corporate newsletters, to feature articles, opinion editorials, and white papers for my clients. What sets me apart from many freelance copywriters is that the first ten years were spent in a variety of corporate environments. I learned to approach everything I write strategically, while being mentored by business leaders who taught me the importance of making the right choices and decisions. That's because each one has a ramification on the business as a whole.

Since I became a freelance copywriter in 2009, I have used these skills to align my clients' messages to their overarching business strategy. My background in public relations, marketing, project management, and client relationship management, also helps me to understand what my clients' goals are, and how to use my copywriting and strategic creative thinking skills to answer their briefs. I'm also often called upon to provide freelance editing services for my clients, polishing their written reports, bid and tender submissions and general client communications. I help them to put their best foot forward, ensure they've covered the topic correctly, that their message is being correctly conveyed to their audience, and assisted in additional research where required.

My clients know that I'm pedantic about deadlines, that I always do my best to answer their brief correctly first time round, and that I always research any topic comprehensively. While I've focused predominantly on providing corporate copywriting services over the past three years, working directly with small and medium size business, and public relations and advertising agencies, I'm also a seasoned freelance feature writer and editor for magazines.

I love being a freelance copywriter because it allows me to constantly learn new things, be exposed to different industries, and to engage with so many interesting people. I value my relationships with my clients, some of whom I've worked with regularly for more than ten years, and I hope to have the chance to do the same with you.
