Over the years, she has written articles for many local and overseas publications on a wide range of business, technology, regulatory, and consumer related topics across different industry sectors and has edited a number of local publications.
Jennigay is also the author of A Perfect Press Release - or Not?, a guide to writing press releases and other types of articles. She has also been teaching writing skills and training executives to be interviewed by the media for more than 20 years.
As a self-disciplined, dedicated knowledge seeker she is well informed about the latest consumer and business trends that are happening across different sectors in South Africa and in the rapidly changing global marketplace and the influencing factors behind them.
She has spent many years exploring a vast range of topics to support writing and research assignments.
When writing for new clients or training spokespeople she does extensive research on their organisations and the markets and regulatory environments in which they operate.
With her journalistic background she is ideally equipped to gather relevant, meaningful information from spokespeople and other sources. She has interviewed hundreds of spokespeople during her writing career and while training executives to be interviewed by the media.
Her media training experience also enables her to coach spokespeople while she is interviewing them, if they are not used to it.
Jennigay has run media training workshops and one-on-one sessions for the likes of the Institute of Directors, the Construction Industry Development Board (cidb), Regus, Unilever, Absa, the US State Department, SA Breweries, TransUnion, Michelin Tyres, Vodacom, Accenture, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), Adcock Ingram, IBM, SAP, Lafarge, the SA Poultry Association, SA Pork Producers Organisation (SAPPO), READ Educational Trust, and Business Connexion, among others.
A major focus of her training is helping participants to communicate more effectively both verbally and in writing.
She tailors workshops and coaching sessions to suit any specific requirements.
This includes training groups of employees and sometimes the entire staff of organisations to communicate more effectively by email or through social media or generally improve their writing skills.
