"AMASA has been in existence since 1971, built on a strong foundation of motivated members and a dedicated committee, the association continues to grow and make a valuable contribution to the industry," says AMASA's Chairperson, Rob Smuts. "Lead by a team of devoted and driven individuals, it has been a rewarding year for AMASA, and the upcoming year is set to share the same success."
The AGM is not only a time to reflect on the year that has been, it is a chance to elect the committee who will take AMASA forward. Current and non-committee members are eligible to stand. Please send your committee nominations to before 3 April 2007. Self nominations are welcome. Your e-mail needs to provide the candidates name, designation, company and contact details and a concise motivation of why you think that person is a suitable contender. Please ensure that the person you have nominated has agreed to stand for election!
As one of the most important events on the AMASA calendar, the AGM will include a report on the past financial year and preview of the forthcoming year by the Chairperson. In addition, Brad Aigner, Deputy Chairperson and head of the Roger Garlick Award portfolio will be announcing the finalists of the Roger Garlick Award making this an event not to be missed.
The AMASA AGM will take place at 16h00 on Wednesday, 4 April 2007, at the JSE, 1 Exchange Square, Gwen Lane, Sandown.
