Job summary:
The group financial manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the financial operations of multiple business units within the group. This role involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The group financial manager will drive financial initiatives to optimise efficiency and profitability across all group entities, providing critical insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Key responsibilities:- Learn both the company’s financial systems and structures to take over from the financial director in due time.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks.
- Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system.
- Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, etc.).
- Oversee all audit and internal financial control operations of the group in South Africa.
- Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.

Qualifications:- BSc or BCom in accounting, finance, or a relevant field; MSc, MA, or MCom is preferred.

- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- CPA or other relevant qualifications are a plus.
