Senior BookkeeperA company in the construction industry is seeking a skilled bookkeeper to trial balance and administrator to join their team in George, Western Cape. This combined role involves managing both bookkeeping and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient operations and accurate financial records. Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate financial records, including handling invoices, receipts, and payments
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure accounts are balanced
- Prepare financial reports and support budgeting processes
- Handle payroll administration and address related queries
- Manage office supplies, filing systems, and general administrative tasks
- Assist with HR tasks, including maintaining employee records and processing leave requests
- Provide support to management for ad-hoc tasks or special projects
Requirements:- Proven experience as a bookkeeper with a solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage)
- Strong administrative skills and familiarity with office management practices
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Qualifications:- Diploma or certificate in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
- Over two years of experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
