BookkeeperMy client based in the George, Western Cape is looking to employ an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team (2-3 days per week) Key responsibilities:- Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a regular basis.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial records.
Requirements:- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Qualification in accounting, finance, or related field (Diploma/Certificate).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is an advantage.
