Warehouse Supervisor
Our client within the hardware/buildware industry, is looking for a
Warehouse Supervisor to join their Warehouse in
East London.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the hardware / buildware industry (non-negotiable)
- Proven experience as a supply chain controller /stock controller or Warehouse Supervisor
- Contactable references
- Clear criminal record
Responsibilities:
- Ensure stock accuracy by keeping stock as accurate as possible via ongoing stock takes.
- Investigating stock problems/inaccuracies
- Adjusting stock to correct any inaccuracies where necessary
- Assisting with Homeware stock requests from other branches
- Ensuring that all stock areas and stock items are neatly labelled, packed and easily accessible
- Changing pricing of stock as required
- Controlling of damaged store stock
- Checking store dispatches and ensures correct documentation is sent and signed for.
- Oversee all the admin processes (IBT/GRV)
- Route deliveries if needed.
- Oversee warehouse staff.
- Maintain optimum stock levels
- Ensure stock is available when it is required
- Optimize the logistical supply chain:
- Minimum supply delivery period
- Minimize logistical costs
- Minimize unplanned purchases
- Ensure control environment is maintained and correct processes are followed as detailed per SOPs.
- Ensure all documentation is signed, stamped and filed correctly
- Ensure the materials management environment operates at the highest standards at all times.
- Advise on foreseeable shortages that will impact the business in advance to ensure sufficient reaction time
- Practising FIFO on Raw Materials – Monitoring aging stock
- Ensuring that stock levels are properly monitored and recorded to ensure prior stock orders before stock runs out
Salary: R10,000 - R12,000
