Premier Fishing SA is seeking a vibrant and experienced Senior HR Executive to join its team. The Senior HR Executive will play a pivotal role in revolutionising our human resource’s function, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our companies’ dynamic strategies. Job summary: This role supports staff and management, upholds standards, policies, and practices, and spearheads performance and operations management initiatives. The senior HR executive will optimise HR transactional performance, enhance HR systems, and cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with agile and manufacturing/fishing goals. Job responsibilities: - Support and entrench the Company People’s Manual
- Implementation: Lead the roll-out and embedding of the Company People’s Manual, ensuring understanding and implementing HR standards, policies, and practices.
- Training and communication: Develop and deliver training to promote compliance with the manual's policies.
- Change management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive HR transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Performance management- Performance standards: Implement effective performance management frameworks aligned with company goals.
- Coaching and mentoring: Guide managers in setting performance objectives and provide coaching for team management.
- Continuous feedback: Foster a culture of continuous feedback and performance evaluation.
- Data-driven decisions: Analyse performance data and report trends and areas for improvement to senior leadership.
Operations management- HR systems optimisation: Optimise HR systems and workflows for recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee management.
- Compliance: Ensure HR operations comply with labour laws and company policies.
- Process improvement: Streamline workflows, improve communication, and enhance HR service delivery.
- Workforce planning: Collaborate with department heads for effective workforce planning. Manage onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes.
- HR metrics: Analyse data and report trends and areas for improvement to senior leadership.
- Employee relations and engagement
- Culture development: Champion initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Dispute resolution: Address employee relations issues and promote a positive work environment.
- Well-being and inclusion: Implement initiatives to enhance employee well-being and promote diversity and inclusion.
Leadership and collaborationBusiness partner:- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR matters.
Team leadership:- Manage and develop the HR operations team.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Ensure alignment of HR operations with broader company goals.

Transitional outputs and responsibilities Centralised payroll management- Payroll processing: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Salary administration: Administer salaries and ensure compliance.
- Benefits administration: Oversee benefits programmes, including retirement and medical aid.
- Digital transformation: Lead the payroll digital transformation migration.
Talent acquisition and retentionLearning and development
- Training programmes: Oversee training programmes and career development initiatives.
- Learning needs analysis: Conduct learning needs analysis and develop budgets.
- SDF oversight: Oversee SDF functions, including WSP and ATR reporting.
BBBEEOccupational health and safety- Advisor: Advise senior management on health and safety matters.
- Incapacity management: Manage incapacity processes linked to ill health and disability.
Employment equity
- Strategy: Develop and implement the EE strategy and plan.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Employment Equity Act and timely reporting.
Compensation management
- Implement and manage compensation structures, including salary benchmarking.
- Ensure compliance with employee grading.

- Bachelor’s degree in HR or HRM.

- More than seven years in a senior role.
