We are looking for a responsible assistant manager to help organise and run our sales teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the sales team meets its goals for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Main job tasks and key responsibilities
- Keep track of the daily activities and performance of the sales team.
- Motivate, coach, and lead the sales team to achieve sales targets and other KPIs.
- Ensure the sales team has the necessary resources to perform their daily duties.
- Evaluate individual team members' performance and create or follow up on PRPs.
- Set sales targets and key performance indicators for individuals in the team.
- Take disciplinary action for team members where necessary.
- Monitor, maintain, and report on all specified KPIs for individuals in the team.
- Implement corrective action for team members who are not meeting benchmarks and targets.
- Compile weekly reports on the team’s performance and suggest corrective action if needed.
- Set schedules for overtime, including public holidays, lunch breaks, and Saturdays.
- Understand and drive company values, vision, and culture within the team and business.
- Provide additional training and coaching as needed to ensure optimal job performance.
- Act as a role model by continuously delivering high-quality service and attention to detail.
- Assist the manager with day-to-day responsibilities and provide stable leadership.
- Oversee staff recruitment and interview new hires.
- Respond to and resolve customer complaints and comments as needed.
- Adapt quickly to change and coach individuals effectively.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, discipline, persistence, accountability, and teamwork.
Skills and experience required
- Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage customer interactions effectively.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Background in insurance, brokerage, sales, or underwriting.
- Minimum of twelve months’ work experience in sales.
Qualifications
- A qualification in business administration or a relevant field would be an advantage.
- RE compliant.
