Qualifications and skills

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12
• Literate – must be able to speak and write English
• Ten years' practical experience in industrial engineering, millwright, maintenance, and electrical
• Formal millwright qualification/s or formal electrical qualification
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business professional publications, technical procedures, manuals, or statutory regulations
• Adaptability to different working areas and conditions
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must have own accommodation and transport

Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the smooth integration of technical solutions within a project, typically acting as a bridge between technical teams, management, and clients
• Identify possible unforeseen circumstances and plan alternative action in advance
• Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
• Use machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
• Ensure that the stations and systems are operating and ready for service on time
• Check the quality of hygiene standards on site
• Ensure that the following health, safety, and hygiene processes and procedures are managed accordingly
• Ensure correct procedures on installations/amendments/breakdowns are followed
