Junior Business Development Manager

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a junior business development manager to join their team in the Gauteng region.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A formal qualification in sales or business will be an added advantage.
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, vehicle sales executive or in a similar role is non-negotiable.
  • Proven sales track record is essential.
  • Experience in customer support is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (where applicable).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong market knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Strong time management and planning skills.
  • Experience in sales, dealerships, and social media is advantageous.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Fully understand and effectively communicate product and value proposition.
  • Identify and qualify clients effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key dealership personnel (dealer principal, sales manager, finance and insurance manager, and/or sales executives).
  • Interact with dealer personnel, answer questions, and be persuasive.
  • Understand client needs, capacity, and requirements, and match these to the appropriate solutions.
  • Identify dealership personnel needs and trigger points, communicating these effectively with the regional sales manager (RSM).
  • Develop and recommend individual dealer and dealer personnel strategies with the RSM.
  • Create and implement regular follow-up strategies with dealerships and their personnel to maximise support and referrals.
  • Leverage experience in sales and dealerships; exposure to social media tools and tracking will be considered a plus.
  • Perform any additional tasks required by operational needs, in line with the employee's abilities.
