Senior Teradata Data Engineer
We are currently seeking a data engineer with five to eight years of experience in data engineering and strong back-end and front-end development skills.
The successful candidate will build data warehouse components on a Teradata warehouse (3NF) and ensure compliance with data governance policies, including documenting data definitions and maintaining business glossaries.

- At least eight years of experience in data engineering.
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages suitable for specific departmental requirements.
- System design experience is advantageous.
- Five to eight years of data engineering experience.
- Strong back-end and front-end development skills.
- Strong SQL skills, especially on MSSQL.

- Hive
- Ab Initio (a bonus)
- Data APIs
- Building data warehouse components on Teradata warehouse (3NF).
- Presenting data through dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
- Complying with data governance requirements, including documenting data definitions and business glossaries.
- Securing approval for data models before use.
- Workflow tools like TIBCO AMX or Camunda (an advantage).

R680 per hour, negotiable based on experience and ability.
