New Business Commercial Lines Insurance Broker
Our client within the insurance industry is looking for a
new business commercial lines insurance broker to join their team in
Centurion.
Requirements:
- RE5 qualification is non-negotiable
- Min three years experience within an underwriting role
- Matric
- Strong sales skills
- Computer proficient
- Insurance experience
- Underwriting key performance area
Insurance new business broker apply their knowledge of risk assessment to the applications (proposals) for insurance cover (risks) and decide if such proposals should be accepted and if so, what the terms of acceptance are to be. They must assess each risk according to its own unique characteristics and determine the likelihood of a claim being made against the policy by weighing up a number of factors and asking for comprehensive and detailed information relative to each prospective client. Underwriters must understand that each risk is unique. The aim is to minimise exposure to losses while at the same time offering the client a cost effective and comprehensive policy of insurance.
