Academic Navigator (Lecturer): Motion Design Technology (Part-Time)

The IIE’s Vega, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) for the second semester in the following module:Job purpose:- Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.
Key performance areas:- Prepare for lectures based on provided content.
- Supplement content with own expertise.
- Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours.
- Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.
- Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback.
- Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.
Minimum qualification requirements:- Ideal:
- Honours or Master’s Degree in Digital Design, Multimedia Design, Motion Design, Interaction Design or Animation.
- Professional Portfolio to illustrate expertise in industry-standard 3D animation software.
- Alternatively:
- Undergraduate qualification in a relevant design field, and an NQF 8 or higher qualification in Higher Education.
- Plus, Adobe and Autodesk Maya/ 3DS Max Certification
Minimum work experience requirements:- Intermediate to advanced skills in 3D software such as Blender or 3DS Max and Adobe Creative Cloud Software, with experience in 3D animation. Min 1 year of work experience using 3D software is required
