Unsung research in poor countries
A team of students has set up a free editing service to assist researchers in developing countries trying to get published in international journals. The university students who come from Canada, Europe and the United States aim to provide detailed editorial feedback in keeping with the standards of international journals.
Justin Chakma, a co-founder of SciEdit said there is a lot of innovative research taking place in developing countries but it is not well represented in international literature. He said most international scientific journals are written in English, making it difficult for non-native English speakers to compete.
