IT Technician - Mossel Bay, Western Cape

Our client in George is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth and secure daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure network cables, routers, switches, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Set up and troubleshoot WiFi networks, ensuring optimal coverage and performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Conduct on-site diagnostics to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Assist with server installations and maintenance when required.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users.
• Document all work completed, including configurations and troubleshooting steps.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance comply with company standards and client requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network systems, cabling, and WiFi setup.
• Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license, own transport and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) are advantageous.
