Role overview:
As a Junior PHP Developer, you will work alongside a talented team of developers to build and maintain web applications, focusing on backend development. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code
• Collaborate with other developers to design and implement new features
• Develop and maintain relational databases, including schema design and writing SQL queries
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in both existing and new applications
• Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends and best practices
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and tools

Skills and experience required:

• Proficient in PHP
• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and Node.js is a plus
• Strong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and SQL
• High attention to detail with a passion for quality and accuracy
• Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others

The Reference Number for this position is PM60154 which is a Permanent - Hybrid position based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg offering a cost to company of up to R400,000 per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
