An innovative and dynamic company (based in Johannesburg) is seeking a highly skilled full-stack JavaScript developer with a strong background in Typescript.
Job summary:
This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work, allowing candidates to contribute from anywhere within Gauteng. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a smooth user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript and Typescript.
- Design and implement user interfaces using Angular or React.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Identify and fix bugs, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in web development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a full-stack JavaScript developer.
- Proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of Angular or React.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Previous experience in a remote working environment.
