Lecture and assess contact and distance learning students in the Higher Certificate and B. Ed. Foundation Programmes in Teaching Practice in the following modules:
Institutional Teaching Practice
School-based Teaching Practice
Perform the role and responsibilities of the module coordinator (MC).
Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
Participate in relevant program, curriculum and material development.
Carry out allocated internal moderation responsibilities.
Participate in school-based Teaching Practice assessments.
Provide academic support to students.
Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programs.
Participate in research and community engagement projects.
Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management.
Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
Minimum Requirements
At least 3 years teaching and at least one year lecturing experience in Foundation Phase teaching in the relevant phases and disciplines.
Knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.
Experience in curriculum and materials development.
Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments
Qualifications·
Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification with relevant study in the Foundation Phase Teacher Development
