A Global client is seeking a highly skilled AWS Platform engineer to join their dynamic and innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimising cloud solutions while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and interpret business needs, transforming concepts into successful implementations.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance AWS cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions and automated testing tools.
• Work with a wide range of AWS services, including Amazon SageMaker, API Gateway, VPC, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, Lambda, and more.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions with terraform and terragrunt.
• Support machine learning model training, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Enhance security, networking, and compliance across AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent experience);
• AWS certified developer associate or AWS certified solution architect.
• 5+ years in a similar role (e.g., DevOps Engineer).
• Strong expertise in AWS networking and security hardening.
• Proficiency in python for automation and development.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.
• Familiarity with ML build and release pipelines.

The Reference Number for this position is NG60073 which is a contract, semi – remote position in Midrand, Johannesburg offering a salary of R550.00 to R750.00 per hour CTC salary negotiable based on experience.
