The successful candidate will be required to do the following:
- Generate story ideas daily
- Assist with fact-checking stories
- Assist with editorial tasks
- Assist in managing social media channels
- Attends events when required and produces necessary content from events where applicable.
- Other administrative tasks where relevant
- Tertiary qualification in media studies, English and/or journalism
- Proficiency in WordPress CMS and a Mac is beneficial
- Excellent writing, copy editing and organisational skills
- Able to work accurately under deadline pressure and willing to work overtime when necessary
- Proficiency in all major social media platforms
