Razor’s Kalay Maistry leads Africa’s representation on PRCA Global Board

Kalay Maistry has been appointed to the Global Professional Board of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) - the only African, and South African, to represent the continent on the global industry’s highest decision-making body.

A partner at agency Razor, where she leads its reputation, advisory & risk practice, Maistry is a veteran journalist and communicator.

The Professional Board plays a key role in shaping the future of the PR industry globally.

The PR and Communications Board serves as a fundamental forum, providing strategic guidance to the PRCA while acting as a think-tank for the industry.

It is dedicated to consulting with the sector's most senior practitioners on key issues, offering insightful commentary, and developing best-practice guidance for PR and communications professionals globally.

"Making the world better because of what we do"

“As the world of PR and strategic communications continues to evolve at pace, it is critical that we come together to benchmark what best practice looks like.

"It could not be more important at a time where the world faces massively increased levels of misinformation, increased levels of manipulation of communications and where we as a profession must stand tall and stand clear more than ever before,” says Maistry.

“From how we create, to how we measure and how we hold true on issues from ethics to issues of minimum benchmark standards, it is our responsibility to be clear about the role we play in making the world better because of what we do,” she adds.

Razor PR was recently named the world’s best mid-sized PR agency by the PRCA at its annual Global Platinum Awards in London.
