African developers shine on global stage

Facebook invited African developers to showcase their work at #F8, its eighth annual developer conference in San Franscisco last week. A young Malawian team impressed Sheryl Sandberg as she wrote on her blog. The youngest developer is just 10-years-old.
African developers, Afrinolly and Gumtree South Africa also got a first go at testing a new account login system from Facebook, the 'Account Kit'.
Then there is the Lesotho mobile success story which is assisting HIV patients in remote areas with their medical regime.
African startups will also be given a chance to participate for startup capital investment in the Seedstars World which visits 20 African countries this year, starting in Mozambique in May.
Have a good week!
