Marketing & Media Africa

Have a holly jolly Christmas this year!

And so the year draws to a close... What an eventful year - full of fun, adventure, stress, scandals, laughs and tears. Our last official newsletters for 2013 will go out today, with our festive newsletter going out tomorrow to send you on your merry way into the holiday season.

In the news today, Danette Breitenbach chats to Ilse du Toit, a manager within the Strategy & Innovation practice at Deloitte Consulting, about the retail sector that is in the centre of a consumer revolution where digitally empowered consumers are driving the change to a world that we call 'Retail Beyond'.

CNN has launched its 'African Start-Up' programme which will aim to shine the spotlight on African start-ups and entrepreneurs and will look at the events that are shaping the African continent and the people defining the African story.

Juliette Attwell advises on what you should look out for in 2014 when it comes to career trends and says that there are exciting times ahead with the job market in South Africa looking promising next year.

Well, that's all from me... So in the words of Burl Ives, have a holly jolly Christmas this year!

Cheers!
Ilse van den Berg, Editor: Marketing & Media Africa (@Biz_Africa)

PS. We look forward to welcoming you back to work next year with our first newsletters on Tuesday, 7 January 2014.
