Giving honour where honour is due

Last week saw the 16th annual AfricaCom conference take place in Cape Town. With three jam-packed days delegates were bombarded with information (in a good way) about building Africa's digital economy. Make sure you catch up on the highlights of the conference if you missed it, and once again, congratulations to all the AfricaCom Awards winners - we honour you for your contributions in the industry in Africa!

Brandon Gregory reports on Andile Ngcaba's talk at AfricaCom last week, highlighting the negative impact in delays to deploying LTE in Africa.

Danette Breitenbach reports on emerging markets into the future after Axel Steinman, Microsoft Advertising and Online VP addressed a small group recently on the findings of global research by Microsoft which included many emerging markets. Feedback was given on technology industry trends, customer trends in emerging markets and what is the advertising business story in light of these and how they will evolve.

Don't forget about PROMAX/BDA Africa which takes place on Friday, 22 November. For more, go to www.promaxafrica.tv.

That is all from me!

Cheers!
