Great game Ghana!

With the second World Journalism Education Congress and the 14th Highway Africa Conference running simultaneously in Grahamstown in South Africa, the usually sleepy hollow is now abuzz and is currently a hub for industry networking. For the next three days it is also a site rich with information for the budding journalist and the journo who's been around the block. Congratulations to the winners of last night's Telkom Highway Africa New Media Awards; African Woman and Child Feature Service, Simon Dingle's The ZA Tech Show and Zoopy.

With less than one week of World Cup frivolities and four big matches left, the world witnessed some heart-stopping action over the weekend. The big one for Africa was obviously the Ghana vs. Uruguay tussle. Unfortunately Ghana didn't make it through, but it was great to see most of South Africa show an unbelievable amount of support and love for the Blacks Stars. This was evident from the great farewell presented to the team at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg before their departure.

Well done Ghana, you did us all proud!
