Twenty-three-year-old Nikki Fourie has been appointed Deputy Station Manager of Rhodes Music Radio (RMR) in Grahamstown.
Fourie joined the station in 1999 as the Music Manager and has not looked back since then. She has been heavily involved in music resources managing to put the station at the forefront of new music. She runs a team of librarians and assists in training new staff on the station and is completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Management at Rhodes University.
"I am excited to be in this position," she said, "It gives me more room to implement more changes to the station." Mike Smurthwaite, Station Manager said "I am very happy to have Nikki on board, her experience is invaluable". Fourie officially took up the position on Monday 29 September 2003.
