5FM appoints Helen Graham as Marketing Manager

5FM has announced that Helen Graham has been appointed Marketing Manager of the commercial hit radio station, effective immediately. Graham has been acting marketing manager of 5FM since September last year.

Commented John Langford, Station Manager 5FM: " It was evident from our interviews that South Africa has a tremendous wealth of marketing talent, and yet despite the depth of competition, Helen was the strongest candidate and a natural choice for the post of Marketing Manager. The last six months at 5FM have been filled with excitement and change, which is a challenge for any marketer, but even in an acting capacity, Helen rose to these challenges.”

In her capacity as acting Marketing Manager, Graham was part of the team that developed the new positioning for 5FM (Commercial Hit Radio) including their critically received new television commercial. She has also been responsible for marketing the extensive presenter line up changes, which have been implemented over the past 6 months. The results of which are evident in the tremendously positive response from advertisers and listeners alike.

Helen Graham began her radio career at 5FM working with the Mark Gillman show and in 2000 took over the eventing portfolio on the station overseeing all of the station’s numerous public activities.
