    Saatchi & Saatchi's young talent wins in global shootout

    Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide has been named the YoungGun Award 2005 Network of the Year, with the South African agency scooping one of only two bullets awarded to the country.

    The YoungGuns Awards recognize the creative leaders of tomorrow, showcasing the best young global talent and Saatchi & Saatchi's global network showed wins in Brazil, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, USA and Singapore. Entries are restricted to those under 30.

    Locally creative team Olivia Tesson (Art Director) and Lawrence Katz (Copywriter) received a bronze bullet for their Oil of Olay 'Calendar' direct mailer. Only 88 bullets were awarded worldwide.

    Tesson says: "To create awareness of Olay's Anti-Ageing cream and to illustrate its benefits, we created a calendar with the months in reverse order. This brings across our message in an impactful and interactive way, while at the same time remaining fully functional as a calendar when used from back to front."

    The calendar was sent to Olay's existing database of customers during the month of December 2004.
