True Love appoints new beauty editor

True Love has appointed Ayanda Bikitsha as the title's new Beauty Editor.

Ayanda comes with a wealth of experience, having held the position of Fashion and Beauty editor at both Soul and Drum magazines.

A qualified beauty therapist, Ayanda joined Drum as a fashion and beauty assistant in 1997, where she remained for seven years, acting as Beauty editor from 2002 and Fashion and Beauty editor in 2004.

Ayanda was Fashion and Beauty editor at Soul magazine since October 2004, where her role included conceptualising and writing fashion and beauty articles, organising and styling shoots, attending functions and developing client relationships. During that time Ayanda was also responsible for styling the fashion and grooming pages of Afrikaans men's magazine, Maksiman.

Ayanda was awarded a bursary to complete her three-year Beauty Technology diploma at Technikon Witwatersrand and has also worked as a beauty consultant, SABC make-up artist and cosmetics trainer at Black Like Me.
