International Council of Shopping Centres names its first SA Trustee
The International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) has elected Ian Watt, director: international development of Old Mutual Properties, to its board of trustees.
Watt, who was chairman of the 2005 Retail Real Estate World Summit held by the ICSC in April in Istanbul, is the first South African to serve as an ICSC trustee.
The ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping centre industry and has 44 000 members in some 80 countries. Its board of trustees helps guide the association's future through an active involvement in committees, task forces, specialised conferences and teaching programmes and advising on publications and research.
