Ashley Rametse appointed Client Service Director at The Mediashop
An industry veteran, Ashley brings with him a wealth of experience and an in-depth understanding of the particular needs and requirements within the advertising and media environment.
In his capacity as Client Service Director, Rametse will be actively involved in all aspects of client service, from the basics including overall client satisfaction, to business development and internal strategic planning processes.
Ashley obtained his academic qualifications through the AAA School of Advertising and started his career with FCB SA in 1996, as part of their Iziko Learnership Programme and was appointed the following year as Media Planner with a client portfolio that included premium brands, the likes of Toyota SA.
During a two year sabbatical he joined Tricon Restaurant International, now known as YUM, as brand manager for Pizza Hut and KFC.
In 1999, Ashley returned to FCB as Account Director on the Vodacom account and in 2000 was privileged to receive the opportunity, through the FCB Advanced Leadership Programme, to go to Chicago. This in-house development programme selects the most promising young talent from all FCB offices worldwide to undergo leadership training.
In 2002 armed with experience and exposure to the international environment, Ashley was appointed Business Unit Director on the Siemens, Industrial Development Corporation and Bonitas Medical Fund accounts only to top this off with an appointment to the FCB Johannesburg Board of Directors a year later, in January 2003.
A decade of experience working with a number of blue chip clients including heading up Uthingo Management's National Lottery business, makes Ashley a valuable new asset to MediaShop team.
