Kim Chaloner appointed Managing Editor of Discovery Magazine
Discovery Magazine, the award-winning quarterly publication of Discovery Health and Discovery Life, has appointed Kim Chaloner as its new Managing Editor. Kim joins the magazine from Condé Nast House Garden, where she was Chief Copy Editor.
Armed with a BA in Communication Science and English Literature, Kim worked in London for two years, before returning to South Africa to further her journalistic career. She wrote a popular column on life back home for the expatriate readers of The South African, a weekly newspaper published in London.
Kim's new role puts her in charge of everyday production and editorial management on Discovery Magazine, which goes out to more than 700,000 principal members of South Africa's biggest private health scheme.
Published by Touchline Media, the nation's leading publisher of specialist lifestyle titles, Discovery Magazine won the Sappi PICA Award for Best Customer Magazine in the Health, Sport, and Fitness category in 2004.
