After a controversial decision earlier this year to remove the popular breakfast show host, Jay, from the line up, Bay FM have made yet another controversial decision - this time to reinstate him.
According to Bay FM, they have been monitoring Jay's progress over the last few months and feel he has made a huge improvement in his personal life and behaviour. Bay FM are proud of the progress he has made, and as such have decided to return him to his old timeslot in the interests of second chances, goodwill and starting with a clean slate.
Bay FM are behind him 100% and hope to encourage Jay's fans to show him all the support he deserves and hope that he will able to continue along his current path.
Jay will return to the Bay FM Breakfast show, on Monday morning, 20th December 2004, from 06:00 to 09:00.
There have been other changes happening at Bay FM. In December Bay FM introduced Xhosa News with Ntombi during the Lunch Time Show with Tony and added another show on the weekday slot 12-2. This is where the upcoming presenters will strut their stuff before being introduced on to the prime time slot. Catch Glen Klaas, X-man, Sue Ann and a hosts of presenters at this time, which has proven to be popular with the night owls.
