Miles Goodall wins fresh accolades at the SASC's Visible Spectrum Awards
Miles Goodall has walked away with awards across the board - including the Best Cinematography Award - in the commercials category at the South African Society of Cinematographers Visible Spectrum Awards.
In this 50th Anniversary year for the SASC, Miles received the Best Cinematography Visible Spectrum Award plus a Gold Certificate for his highly acclaimed commercial "Fork" for Investec Private Bank (this film also picked up the Gold World Medal for Best Cinematography at the prestigious New York Festival Awards 2004); a second Gold for his BMW spot "On your Mind"; a Silver for the Spoornet film "Women of Africa"; and a Bronze for his Aids Awareness commercial "Village/Old Man".
The Visible Spectrum Awards honour outstanding achievement in the field of Cinematography, and judged as they are by the SASC, they represent the highest accolade a Cinematographer can achieve in South Africa.
Other awards Miles Goodall has received in 2004 include: A Cannes Silver Lion; a Silver Shark; 3 Gold World Medals at the New York TV Advertising Awards; a Bronze Clio; a Silver Midas Award; a Distinctive Merit at the 83rd Art Directors Annual Awards 2004; a Persephone Award at the WIN Awards, USA; and a Gold Summit.
