New Chief Operating Officer for Clover
Clover Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Johann Vorster as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the Clover Group for four years.
During the course of his career, Vorster has held various other top positions at leading companies such as Ernst and Young, the South African Revenue Service and Astrapak Ltd.
Vorster's qualifications include an MBA from Wits, a B.Comm Hons and a CA. His appointment as COO was based on several significant competencies such as his broad-based business and financial knowledge, his leadership and negotiation skills, turnaround experience and general management experience. Vorster has also served on a number of boards over the last 10 years and has been a Clover board member for the last four years, which has given him a deep insight into the business. Vorster says he is excited by the challenges his new post will bring.
Commenting on his appointment, Clover Industries Limited CEO, Robert Wesseloo says, "Johann has developed a passion for sales and marketing and in his new position, he will be able to implement the ideas, which the company has been preparing for some time now. We will definitely see a further step in Clover's development towards a company that is more marketing, customer and consumer focused."
Vorster is married with two daughters aged 10 and 14. He enjoys overseas travel and spends his free time on his game farm outside Warmbaths, cycling (he completed the Argus twice) and frequenting good restaurants.
