Third annual HSBC/SA Pen Literary Award encourages African writing
Young writers from South Africa and all other SADC countries are once again invited to submit original unpublished short stories for the third volume of the annual HSBC/SA Pen Literary Award by 31 July 2006. Three prizes will be awarded by HSCB Bank - US$5000, US$3000 and US$2000 - with Nobel Laureate JM Coetzee as judge. The best entries selected by the editorial board will be published in a book next year, New Writing from Southern Africa - 2007.
