One in three views for free
The SABC says that only 70% of the 6.3-million households with TV sets paid for licences for the year ending in March. This figure is up on the previous year's 64%. Of the 4.4-million licensed TV-owning households 1.9-million were fully paid up and 2.5-million partially paid up. The company says that the target for the current financial year was to cut the piracy rate to 27%.
