What it means to be truly African today
In preparation for Africa Day on Thursday, 25 May 2006, Channel O's programming for May reflects the hopes, diversity and achievements of Africa. A week before Africa Day, Channel O (DStv 87) is showing messages from the African youth about what it means to be an African in the 21st century. Lined up on the day itself is a special cultural and musical variety show which is part of a UNICEF cultural exchange programme between musicians, facilitated by Ethiopian and South African artists. The show will be broadcast at 5pm with a special rebroadcast on Saturday, 27 May, at 8pm.
