Advertising investment paying off
Earnings of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, which are 25.5% up on last year, can directly be linked to advertising spend, says the real estate group. Over the past 12 month period (starting June 2005) RE/MAX of Southern Africa reportedly spent R4 138 495 million on television and radio advertising alone, accounting for 49% of the total spend by the major real estate groups. Across all media, the company spent a total R 6.7 million on above-the-line advertising.
