Hunting down and killing spam
Telecommunications regulators from 60 countries met yesterday to try to stop the growing tide of unsolicited emails, which threatens to drive users and businesses off the internet. "It's a disease that has spread around the world. We have an epidemic on our hands which we need to control," said Robert Horton of the Australian Communications Authority. Spam accounts for up to 85 percent of inbound email, according to the International Telecommunications Union, the UN agency under whose auspices the meeting is being held. Source: Business Report
