    Vodacom bets on Durban July

    Vodacom is again sponsoring the country's most well known horse race, the Vodacom Durban July. With the assistance of its marketing partner, FCB Johannesburg, the cellular service provider will leverage its investment in the event with a television campaign on all national stations, and tactical visual executions at departure and arrival airports, as well as at the racecourse itself. Instead of devising a new television commercial, Vodacom will rely on a firm favourite shot some years ago, featuring actor Michael de Phina weighing in for the race. The tactical ads and posters developed by the agency highlight the race's strong ties to fashion and glamour.
