US to fund televised Aids education to the tune of R19m
The US goverment has said it will be investing R19 million towards expanding the Health Channel, a satellite TV channel broadcasting free HIV and Aids education to patients and health care workers in clinics and hospitals in South Africa. The funding will be done through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Health Channel was launched last year by the National Department of Health, in partnership with Mindset Network and Sentech.
