First American outdoor growth in 3 years
The Outdoor Advertising Association of America has reported a year-on-year fourth quarter increase of 5.7% for the industry in 2003, out-performing broadcast TV (0.5%), radio (1.0%), and newspapers (1.9%), and the American ad industry overall (5.1%). After two flat years this is the first year of reflected growth. The OAAA's 1100 member companies represent 90% of the total American outdoor industry and generate more than $5 billion annually in ad revenues.
