Promised Land wins Best Screenplay at Tokyo Int'l Film Festival

Ster-Kinekor Pictures' PROMISED LAND has won Best Screenplay at the 15th edition of the Tokyo International Film Festival. Based on the novel by Karel Schoeman "Na Die Geliefde Land", PROMISED LAND was written and directed by Jason Xenopoulos, and shot on location in Trompsburg, South Africa. The film also stars Yvonne van den Bergh, Louis van Niekerk, Wilma Stockenström, Tobie Cronje, Miems de Bruyn, Ian Roberts and Daniel Browde. PROMISED LAND marks the directorial debut for Jason Xenopoulos. The film was produced by Moonyeenn Lee and David Wicht and will have it's South African premiere at the Sithengi Film Festival this month.
