Blow up over naked doll ad
SAfm has unreservedly apologised to all individuals who took offence at the poster they ran at the Grahamstown Festival featuring a naked female blow-up doll and the line "Some things are better live". This after a consumer, Mrs O'Meara, complained to the ASA, saying that the campaign was demeaning to women. SAfm admits that the ad was risqué and adult orientated and says that for this reason the campaign was run at the "open minded" Grahamstown festival. The promotion won't be run again and SAfm will look more closely at the exposure that their promotions receive.
