    A chilli experience

    Nando's extra hot and hot peri-peri sauces, lemon and herb grinder and Perinaise Original products took four 1st prize Gold awards at the sixth annual Evergreen Chilli Carnival held in Tshwane recently. Says Prue Leith, principal and executive chef of College of Food and Wine, and competition judge Rudi Liebenberg, "We were looking for the most authentic chilli sauce and were most impressed with the quality of the Nando's sauces that were entered. It was most interesting to look at the variety in flavour profile as well as in the product category that they offered." More than 40 sauces were entered into the competition.
