ASA orders Pastel to withdraw ads

Pastel Software has been ordered by the Advertising Standards Authority to withdraw ads claiming that "nine out of every 10 accountants recommend Pastel". The ASA said that the ads were misleading because they did not clarify the circumstances in which the statement was correct. "If you run a small or medium-sized business in the metropolitan areas it does apply," said Pastel MD Steve Cohen.
