Auditions are being run in the major cities as South Africa gears up for the next reality-TV sensation to hit our screens - Pop Idols. Described as the 'ultimate nationwide talent search', thousands of young hopefuls will be auditioning in five centres around the country to be picked among the final ten. The final weeks will see the ten living through their hopes, relationships, dreams and failures, with the public voting who will go or stay. The genre has been hugely successful elsewhere in the world, with the UK launch this month receiving huge acclaim.
